As the plot progresses, the existence and rise of the Antichrist, the embodiment of pure evil, becomes increasingly apparent. Wielding power that manipulates the minds of followers, the Antichrist seeks to establish dominion over the world, plunging it into eternal damnation.

Throughout the story, readers are led on a rollercoaster of emotions, as they witness the stumbles, triumphs, and sacrifices made by the Archbishop in his efforts to thwart the Antichrist's plans. With each turning page, the suspense grows, leaving readers with an insatiable desire to witness the ultimate resolution of this cosmic battle.

One cannot help but be drawn into the narrative's vivid imagery and richly developed characters. The words on the pages transport us to ancient cathedrals, magnificent palaces, and eerie catacombs, evoking a visceral response that immerses us in the story's setting.

Incorporating elements of historical fiction, The Archbishop And The Antichrist cleverly intertwines real-world events with fantastical elements. By merging the familiar with the extraordinary, the story provides a perspective that challenges our understanding of the world and our place within it.

The Archbishop And The Antichrist is more than just a tale of good versus evil. It is an allegory for the internal battles we face daily, as we strive to overcome the darkness within ourselves and find redemption. It reminds us of the importance of faith, compassion, and our capacity for change.

As readers journey through this compelling narrative, they are forced to question their own beliefs and values. The characters serve as mirrors, reflecting our own inner struggles, making us question whether we are capable of rising above our own demons, just like the Archbishop, or if we fall prey to the temptations of the Antichrist.

Although The Archbishop And The Antichrist is a work of fiction, it speaks to deeper truths that resonate with readers throughout the ages. It serves as a reminder that the choices we make and the battles we fight shape not only our individual destinies, but also the destiny of humanity itself.

So, dear reader, are you ready to embark on a journey that will challenge your beliefs and ignite your imagination? Prepare yourself for an unforgettable experience as you delve into The Archbishop And The Antichrist - a clash that will test the very fabric of existence.

"In a world where darkness threatens to consume us all, it is up to the Archbishop to illuminate the path to salvation and lead us to triumph."

This is the script for the stage play which has been adapted for and inspired the forthcoming sensational new film ‘The Archbishop and the Antichrist’, to star Forest Whitaker (Last King of Scotland Oscar winner) and directed by Roland Joffë (The Mission and The Killing Fields).

The stage play has won an Amnesty International award and the Gold prize on a national UK award and has been seen on stage at The Royal Festival Hall, London, the Amnesty International Theatre, London, and Soho Theatre, London.

1996, South Africa, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission has been sitting for two years, hearing testimony from more than twenty thousand people concerning the part they played in the atrocities committed during the Apartheid era or else hearing the victims stories. The Commission is neutral as to race and colour but its Chairman, the world renowned Nobel prize winner Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu is plagued by a crisis of faith and conscience in having to grant amnesty to people guilty of perpetrating some of the most heinous crimes ever committed by man. He cannot sleep and is troubled by nightmares. Having unwisely promised the grief stricken family of a prominent victim who has been ‘disappeared’ he will find the truth for them, he is contacted by a bigoted white Afrikaner serial killer who is languishing in Pollsmoor Prison Cape Town just one week from his execution. The brutal arch-racist AWB Piet Blomfeld is a former member of a security forces kill squad and when he writes to Archbishop Tutu offering vital information on the very case Tutu has made promises on, there follows a series of meetings between the two men in the prison, during the course of which the ghastly truth emerges, and, more importantly, Tutu and Blomfeld together find their way back to faith and true reconciliation. Together they find their own respective redemption and learn to forgive.

BE AMONG THE FIRST TO READ THE STAGE PLAY BEFORE THE FILM IS RELEASED LATER IN 2012.
